“We probably will build the factory in Java and close to the sea,” Baharu Perkasa Lines general manager Arief Sugiarto said on Tuesday, declining to give further details of the investment.
The factory will manufacture cranes for ports and mines, and each crane will be sold for $5 million. The company has sold cranes to several companies in Indonesia including steelmaker Krakatau Posco, a joint venture of Krakatau Steel and Posco of South Korea.
