According to statistics, Thailand’s scrap imports totaled 66,000 tons in
February, decreasing by 2.9% year on year and decreasing by 28% from a
month ago.
Among them, 56,000 tons were imported from the US and 37,000 tons were from Australia.
In the first two months of this year, Thailand’s scrap imports amounted to 158,000 tons, increasing by 18.5% year on year.
It’s estimated that the country’s scrap imports would be at 950,000 tons in the whole of 2015.
