Japan’s crude steel output falls in Jun
Japan's steelmakers saw a decline in crude steel output in June.
According to the data from Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF),
Japan’s crude steel output dropped by 3.9% to 8.571 million tons in June
from the last month.
The output of pig iron dropped by 3.3% from the previous month, reaching 6.54 million tons.
In June, the average daily crude steel output dropped by 0.7% to 285,700 tons compared to the previous period.
During the first half, the country’s crude steel output totaled 52.63 million tons, reducing by 4.7% year on year.
