Taiwan’s re-rolling steel mills to slow down raw material purchasing
Due to the low price steel sources competition from Chinese mills and
the highly pressure from the US antidumping case on Taiwan’s coating
steel products, Taiwan’s re-rolling mills unable to reach its sales
target in recent months.
Although China Steel Corp. has cut its September to support its
downstream users and offered special HRC price rate to Taiwanese
re-rollers; however, CSC's new price is still higher than other import
source.
For Taiwan’s re-rollers, they do really have highly concern in getting
high price raw material source. Currently the re-rolling steel mills
have tried to slow down their raw material purchasing activity to avoid
further unexpected profit loss.
