China’s stainless crude steel production up in H1
According to Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises
Association (CSSC), China produced 10.759 million tons of stainless
steel in the first half, an increase of 0.68% or 72,000 tons compared to
the same period of last year.
Among them, stainless steel Cr-Ni products totaled 5.703 million tons,
up by 14.8%; Cr-Mn stainless steel (including some products that do not
conform to international standards) products totaled 2.96 million tons,
up by 2.84% compared to the previous year.
The country imported 375,100 tons of stainless steel during January to
June, dropping by 16.83 % year on year. The country exported 1.81
million tons of stainless steel products, down by 6.93% year on year.
The country’s apparent consumption totaled 8.03 million tons, up by 1.54% year on year.
