US Raw steel production declined further during the week ended Nov 14th

The total domestic raw steel output during the week ending November 14^th was 1,601,000 net tons. The AISI data indicates that the US raw steel production has declined significantly by 1.1% during the week. This is in comparison with the previous week (ie., the week ended Nov 7^th)  production figures of 1,618,000 net tons. Also, the weekly output represents a sharp decline of 13.7% in comparison with production of 1,856,000 net tons during same week the previous year.

The capability utilization rate of US steel makers dropped to 67.0% during the week ended Nov 14^th, 2015.

The capacity utilization rate has witnessed modest decline when compared with 67.7% during the previous week (ie., the week ending November 7^th). Also, capacity utilization was considerably lower when compared with the rate of 77.2% during same week the previous year.
