Korea plans to start anti-dumping investigations on Chinese rebar imports
Last year, China's rebar exports increased significantly, Korea Hyundai
Steel, Dongkuk Steel mill and other local steel manufacturers may be
submitted the petition for unfair trade case.
According to Korea Iron and Steel Association (Kosa) statistics showed
in 2015, Korea rebar imports from China increased by 70%. Meanwhile,
Korea rebar imports have increased from 989,900 tons to 1.6828 million
tons from 2014, it was estimated that there were about 300,000 tons will
arrive in February-March this year.
Therefore, the local steel mills requested the Government to take anti-dumping action is expected.
