Scrap
- Scrap price rise in south China but dip in the north. Guiyang Special Steel in southwest raised it scrap buying prices by RMB 80 per tonne ($13) to RMB 3,700 ($578) with 17% VAT for heaving melting scrap (>6mm). Meanwhile, Cingyuan Iron and Steel in northeast cut scrap buying price by RMB20-50 to RMB 3,680-3,830 per tonne with VAT for HMS (>6mm) – source: SBB
