Scrap

-          Steel Scrap Shredded United States export fob East Coast reported on 06 Jan 2011 at  470 -475 USD per tonne – source: MB

Semi-finished steel prices

-          Turkish billet export price up by $15 per tonne each day. Prices in January at 660-670 USD per tonne FOB – source: MB

-          Black sea billet is in the range 635-670 USD per tonne FOB, and is set at 700 USD per tonne for the next target – source: SBB

-          Spot offers for slab from Russia and Ukraine to Asia are prevailing at 630 USD per tonne CFR Korea, 630-640 USD per tonne CFR Taiwan and Southeast Asia – source: SBB

Bar

-          Shanghai rebar price up 16 Yuan to 4,809 Yuan per tonne ($729) – source: MB

-          Turkish rebar export price at 680-690 USD per tonne to UAE, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. Some mini mills offer 700-710 USD per tonne – source: MB

-          Domestic rebar price in Malaysia increased by RM50 per tonne ($6). Ann Joo Steel price for >= 16mm diameter product is RM2,150 per tonne ($700) and for 10-20 mm diameter product is RM 2,250 per tonne – source: SBB

-          Vietnam rebar price is 680-700 USD per tonne. Thailand domestic rebar price is 662 USD per tonne. Indonesia rebar price is 656-668 USD per tonne – source: SBB

 

Hot rolled coil prices

-          Chinese steel mills increase boron-added HRC price to 650-655 USD per tonne FOB – source: SBB

-          AK Steel officially increased HRC price by 50 USD per short ton to 800 USD per tonne FOB, US Steel raised HRC price to 740 USD per tonne – source: SBB

-          Nippon Steel new basis price of HRC is around 75,000-80,000 Yen per tonne and is expected that the actual HRC contract price will be to 65,000 – 70,000 Yen per tonne – source: SBB
