Japan’s crude steel and pig iron production fell in June

The Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) latest statistics, in June this year Japan produced 6.659 million tons of pig iron, down 2.7% month on month to 186,000 tons, an increase of 1.7% year on year, rising for three consecutive months.

In January-June this year, Japan’s steel total production was 40.085 million tons, down 0.4% year on year.

Japan’s June crude steel production was 8.76 million tons, down 2% month on month to 180,000 tons, an increase of 2.7% year on year, fell for three consecutive months. The average daily output was 292,000 tons, an increase of 1.3% month on month to 288,000 tons.
