- The price of its September-delivery Q235 5.5mm HRC to 3,050 yuan ($460) per tonne, SPCC 1.0mm CRC to 3,825 yuan ($576) per tonne, and Q235 14-20mm plate to 3,200 yuan ($482) per tonne. All prices are on an ex-works basis, excluding VAT. The move comes in the wake of similar increases by central China’s Wuhan iron & Steel and eastern China’s Baosteel last week. The two major steelmakers raised their list prices by 150-200 yuan ($23-30) per tonne and 100 yuan ($15) per tonne, respectively. – source: Steel First
Semis
- As at 3pm, billet was being traded at 2,250 yuan ($339) per tonne including VAT in Tangshan, down 30 yuan ($5) per tonne from last Friday. Prices had fallen 40 yuan ($6) per tonne before recovering 20 yuan ($3) per tonne over the weekend, followed by another drop of 10 yuan ($2) per tonne on Monday afternoon. - source: Steel First
